Welcome, all drunk Jenga fans! If you like drinking games, you’re going to love this Jenga drinking game!
Drunk Jenga is a fantastic tower drinking game to play with friends. I also love that this game can be played with any drink, whether alcoholic or non-alcoholic. That means everyone can participate, regardless of drinking preferences.
I personally find the Jenga drinking games you can buy a bit repetitive so we’ve created a mash-up of kings cup rules/ring of fire rules mixed with a drunken tower to make for an epic night of fun!
Please remember to always drink responsibly. Excessive drinking can lead to illness or injury. Never drink more than you can handle and always stay safe whilst under the influence of alcohol. This game is just as fun with soft drinks, and it means you can have a productive day the next day too. Winning!
Please note this requires you to have your own Jenga blocks. If you don’t already have Jenga, hop on over to Amazon and grab yourself one. There are heaps to choose from. The one below is my favorite.

A standard Jenga game has 54 blocks, so we’ve got 54 rules for your drunk Jenga game. You can check them out below, but first, we’ve got some basic setup ideas:
Setting up your Drunk Jenga
First up, we need to create our Jenga drinking game. There are a few ways you can do this outlined below:
Option 1: Listed below are 54 rules. You can write the numbers 1 to 54 on your Jenga blocks with a marker pen and print the rules and play this way. When a number is pulled, the rule is readout.
Option 2: Write the rule onto the blocks with marker pen (it’s easier to write just the bolded part – see below). You can then print the rules and read out the entire rule during play.
Option 3: Buy the below awesome printable. Cut-out the rules and stick them on each block. Make sure to use clear tape and cover the entire cut-out, so it doesn’t cause friction when you are pulling the blocks out during gameplay.
How to play the Jenga Drinking Game
Before we get to the rules, let’s outline how to play drunk Jenga:
- Get a shared cup to put in the middle of the table. Drinks will be poured into this when a “Shared cup” block is pulled. (This is optional depending on whether you want to play it similar to the kings cup rules or ring of fire rules).
- Build the tower. The player who built the tower goes first. Play then continues to the left.
- On your turn, carefully remove a block from anywhere below the highest completed layer. Follow the rule on your block, then stack the block on top of the tower. Always complete one 3-block layer before starting the next one.
- Remove and stack one block per turn unless otherwise instructed. To remove a block, use only one hand at a time. You can switch hands whenever you wish.
- Keep removing and stacking blocks until the tower falls. Whoever makes the tower fall must drink whatever is in the shared cup (if you decided to use the cup).
Please always drink responsibly. Excessive drinking can lead to illness or injury. Never drink more than you can handle and always stay safe whilst under the influence of alcohol.
